Tor HaMidbar strives to promote Israel's periphery by guiding socially-involved communities and developing social business entrepreneurship.

 

The Incubator for social-business entrepreneurship is the organization's department for economic and social development in Israel's periphery. We promote social solutions and business tools out of the belief that every initiative, even if it is purely business, should take into account wider considerations of community, sustainability, and social impact in order to succeed. On the other hand, every social project that hopes to sustain over time has to have a mix of income, including self-generated income, in order to have philanthropic funding. In this way, we inject the business value of sustainability into the nonprofit setting.          

 

The Incubator for social-business entrepreneurship provides entrepreneurs with:

• Hub – a work space for entrepreneurs

Beta Hub for Negev entrepreneurs provides a shared workspace, community and services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, start-ups and small businesses. Beta Hub has an open-space in which entrepreneurs can rent working desks, as well as private offices. The facility is equipped with a kitchen, a conference room, workshops area and all office services: internet connection, printing services, fax etc. The shared space allows entrepreneurs to interconnect with the goal of encouraging collaborations among entrepreneurs who don’t have their business ideas "fully cooked". In the three years since Beta Hub was established, it became a home for a community of periphery entrepreneurs, forming personal friendships and promoting the field of entrepreneurship.

 

Each of our 25 open-space desks and 7 offices is rented at a significantly cheaper price than market average. We also offer one-time rentals for conference rooms, private workshops and a multiple-entry ticket.
